The project centered on supporting Skye Bioscience as it advanced the development of next-generation drugs designed to unlock new therapeutic pathways for metabolic health. Deep engagement with Skye’s science and research teams became a core part of the process, with consistent collaboration with their experts to better understand the technology and thinking behind their work. Through this exploration, unexpected design systems emerged, inspired by the peripheral CB1 inhibitor at the center of Skye’s platform.

The scope of work included the development of a brand identity and a messaging strategy designed to allow communications to flex clearly and authentically across different audience segments. With the work so closely embedded in Skye’s science and technology, the role also expanded into developing a naming convention for a biological process intended for use by the broader scientific community.

The multi-year scope of the project coincided with a period of significant growth for Skye. Across conferences and industry events, branded presentations and video content helped distinguish the company in a sector where branding and marketing adoption has traditionally been slow and conservative. The identity system and asset design played a key role in helping Skye stand out while maintaining the credibility and scientific rigor expected in the field
